    1. Salto de Sallent, the highest waterfall in Catalonia

    Located in the municipality of Rupit, in the region of Osona, Salto de Sallent is an impressive free fall that will leave you speechless. At over one hundred metres high, each year it becomes a true paradise for canyoning lovers.Go on one of the most spectacular visits in Catalonia. You will walk between suspension bridges, and pass by the Carraguell fountain. You will discover the hermitage of Sant Joan de Fàbregues, with views over the Sau reservoir. And finally, you will explore crystal clear streams, forests dyed green and you will reach the highest waterfall in Catalonia.

    2. Saut deth Pish, a double paradise

    If we had to choose a single reason for Saut deth Pish to have been considered one of the most iconic cascades in the Arán Valley for decades, it would be how the water drops between an impressive double waterfall. The upper waterfall is about twenty metres high, and the lower waterfall is approximately five. An incredible hearing experience. You will start your route in Plan des Artiguetes, and gradually discover the amazing local landscape. You will enter the deep Siesso Forest, full of beech and fir trees; you love the small mountain lake of Varradós, located further north; you will enter small shelters from where you can see the entire expanse of the area; and you will walk through long meadows bordering the massif of La Maladeta and Aneto, the highest peak in the Pyrenees.

    3. Salto de Santa Margarida, a water curtain

    Hidden in the river Brugent, in the region of Garrotxa, Salto de Santa Margarida is a small natural oasis where you can see the water flow through basalt stone caves and form a blue canvas, creating a perfect environment to relax. To get there, you travel along the Vía Verda or Camí del Carrilet, a perfectly flat path, ideal for walking or cycling. Then, you will discover small medieval bridges, like the one coming from the old Colonia Dusol; you will cross the Torrent de Can Reixac, born in Sierra Marina; you will be surprised by a route that climbs to the shrine of Mare de Déu del Far, on top of a cliff in the Collsacabra; and you will replenish your energy at La Parada del Jonquer a les Planes d'Hostoles, a highly recommended picnic area.

    4. Salto del Molí dels Murris, one of the most refreshing routes 

    Another key stop in the region of Garrotxa is Salto del Molí dels Murris, in the Cogolls stream, ideal for a good dip and a place where tranquility pervades every corner. Take a shady and quiet route, the Ruta del Carrilet, where you will leave the Planes d'Hostoles behind and lose yourself among the sweet aromas of crop fields. Upon arrival you will climb between natural steps, bathe in spectacular pools and look at a bright bottom when you dive. And its high concentration of calcium bicarbonate has created unusual rock formations called "Els Travertins".  Choose a swimsuit, a towel and... get ready for a route that will surprise you and refresh you at the same time.
