Aiguablava beach, an ancient port with a wild landscape (Begur)
Isolated from urbanised areas, Aiguablava Beach is a small natural corner of shallow turquoise waters, surrounded by a mountain landscape and Cape Begur. The area has a car park, diving equipment hire and the odd beach bar where you can sample a typical dish or two.

Cala Sa Forcanera, an enchanting haven (Blanes)
This cove is hidden beneath a cliff. You can only reach it by kayak or boat from Blanes port (one kilometre away), making it a super peaceful beach to be enjoyed, in company, or even on your own perhaps. Set above the cliff you can find the Marimurtra Botanical Garden, considered the best Mediterranean garden in Europe.

Portitxol beach, a family-oriented beach (La Escala)
If you follow Empúries promenade you will reach Portitxol beach. The calm sea, the fine sand, the beach bars, the showers and the parking area make this beach an ideal place to enjoy a day out with the family. What’s more you may recognise it, as this beach has appeared in many TV adverts.

Sa Boadella beach, a beach that has a little of everything (Lloret de Mar)
An unspoilt beach away from the crowds of bathers who concentrate on its neighbouring beaches. Even so it offers all the conveniences of the busier beaches, such as showers andrestaurants with sea views. Once you are there you can enjoy your favourite water sport, or take a stroll along the cliff that houses the pretty Santa Clotilde Gardens.

Port Bo beach, the setting for the Cantada de Habaneras (Calella de Palafrugell)
An urban beach surrounded by quaint fishing houses and colourful boats resting on the sand. With the arrival of the first Saturday in July, the beach hosts a large number of visitors to celebrate the Cantada de Habaneras of Calella de Palafrugell (concerts held in ports and Spanish coastal areas based on ancient seafaring songs).
