Ingredients for 4 people: 1 l milk. Olive oil. ½ kg honey. ½ kg sugar. 8 eggs. Sliced bread.

Preparation
Cut a large loaf of dense white bread into thick slices (you can also use ready-sliced bread). In a soup plate, mix the milk and sugar. In another, beat the eggs. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Dip the bread slices in the sweetened milk and then in the beaten egg, and fry them in the hot oil until golden. Drain on kitchen paper.

Presentation
Place the torrijas on a serving dish and drizzle honey over them. Many people add the rest of the sweetened milk to the serving dish, so the torrijas soak up more liquid and become more spongy.
