Ingredients for 4 people 2 dozen sardines coarse salt 6 potatoes 1 bay leaf

Preparation
Salt the sardines with plenty of coarse salt one or two hours before flame grilling them. Meanwhile, put the cleaned but unpeeled potatoes, cut in half, on to cook with water half covering them, salt, and a bay leaf. When they are almost cooked, drain off the water and finish cooking them in the oven or next to the flame grill.
