A tribute to the poet
A beautiful mansion in Moguer (Huelva) honours the legacy of the Nobel Prize winner for Literature.
Juan Ramón Jiménez, author of the famous Platero and I, spent much of his childhood and youth in this building. This 19th century building exhibits personal objects, paintings, photographs, documents and the poet's entire private and newspaper library, along with other household items. The two-storey house is in Andalusian style, with a large central courtyard. The museum house was first named “Zenobia” at the express wish of Jiménez, paying tribute to Zenobia Camprubí, his wife and also a prestigious translator and writer.
