Los Guzmanes tower

Built in the 15th century. It is also known as Palacio de los Mújica. The granite masonry façade is divided into two undecorated storeys. At one corner there is a tower with a square floor plan, with turrets and watchtowers. The door of the tower is topped by a round arch framed in an alfiz. Inside there is a Mudéjar coffered ceiling. Alfonso XII stayed in this building, and the writer Enrique Larreta chose it as the setting for his work “La Gloria de Don Ramiro”. It now houses the Regional Government and an exhibition hall.
