A tribute to the painter of natural light

Located in Sorolla’s home and studio, it includes many works of art.

This museum helps visitors understand the artistic development of Joaquín Sorolla. We can see how the artist’s style changed, and the different subjects that interested him, such as social commentary, family portraits, genre scenes, and self-portraits. The painter’s colourist phase is dominated by his impressionist landscapes. There are also collections of sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, old photographs, and an important archive of his private correspondence. Other works are on display by notable artists such as Benlliure, Rodin, and Bloy. The museum is temporarily closed for refurbishment until 2026.
