Siete Palacios Cave, or Archaeological Museum
Granada
The museum is housed in what was the basement of a Roman building. Inside, remnants of Almuñécar’s historic past can be seen, like the remains of the Puente de Noy necropolis, the Laurita necropolis and the El Majelo salting factory. However, the highlight from an archaeological viewpoint is an Egyptian vessel from the 16th. Century BC, sculpted in solid quartz. Its hieroglyphic inscriptions tell us that it belongs to the period of the pharaoh Apophis I.
