The museum is located in the Mudejar Pavilion, built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.
The collection is made up of embroidery, ceramics, clothing, work tools, goldwork, musical instruments, etc. Of particular importance is its Díaz Velázquez collection of lace and embroidery, one of the most relevant in Europe and which in itself could constitute a museum. In addition to the permanent exhibition halls, there is an area for temporary exhibitions and screening rooms.
