Señorío de Bértiz Nature Reserve gardens

The Señorío de Bértiz Natural Park covers 2040 hectares and is a wonderful spectacle of forests, meadows and moorland, with beautiful scenic areas. The Natural Park is well-equipped to receive large numbers of tourists –nearly 100,000 people a year– who can also visit the garden, 3.4 hectares with around 125 species of trees and shrubs, laid out in the style of the natural gardens of the early 20th century, although fifty years earlier the original garden was in the French style and much smaller. The garden abuts the façade of the mansion. Its 6,738 square metres include a decorative fountain and a greenhouse built around 1856. There are strict rules protecting this Natural Park, which was created in 1984.
