Talavera pieces can be found from the 16th century to the present day.
The museum allows visitors to discover the artistic development of Talavera ceramics, which have been awarded the Intangible Cultural Heritage designation by UNESCO, considering the colours, designs and shapes of the pieces. It is housed in the convent of San Agustín and based on the collection of the Toledo potter Juan Ruiz de Luna. It has pieces that date back to the Middle Ages, but the majority date from the 16th to the 20th century.
