Royal Butchery
Córdoba
These were used for the slaughter of cattle as a slaughterhouse and market in the sixteenth century. They were designed by Francisco del Castillo. The façade is in Mannerist style, with columns on which a triangular pediment is placed. The building has a square floor plan, with a central courtyard. It has galleries of rounded arches on stone columns and towers at its angles. The construction includes a spiral staircase.
