Royal Cloth Factory of Charles III

Royal Cloth Factory

Guadalajara

The name of this garden comes from the unique circular building where fabrics for military uniforms were manufactured. It was completed in 1783 but the outside space was not transformed into a garden until 1815, when the Cabañas family acquired the property. The design is marked by orderly clusters of box hedges, with a central gazebo that has an arbor covered in climbing plants. On one side there is a long gallery formed by arches of cut cypresses that open to offer magnificent views over the Tajuña River.
