Tarragona
The time of its construction is uncertain; many sources agree that it was built during the time of Augustus. It was restored under the reign of Caliph Abd al-Rahman III in the 10th century and again in the 18th century. It is called Pont del Diable (Devil's Bridge), as a legend says that it was built by the Devil after winning a bet where a maiden wagered her soul. It originally stretched for 25 kilometres; today it is 217 metres long and 27 metres tall.It is part of the monumental ensemble of Tarraco, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
