Covarrubias Parish Museum
Van Eyck or Berruguete
On display at the museum is a valuable collection of ornaments.
The Covarrubias Parish Museum displays pieces of goldsmithing, sculpture, ceramics and painting. The Calahorra Parish Cross is worth particular mention, as is the panel attributed to Van Eyck and another by Pedro Berruguete. But the most appreciated piece is the Triptych of the Three Wise Men, in polychrome wood, attributed to Gil de Siloé. Sculptures from the 15th to the 18th centuries are also on display. The church is home to the tombs of Fernán González, a famous 10th-century Castilian count and one of his wives, Sancha Sánchez de Pamplona.
