Next to the Palace is a beautiful small garden, modern but with a classic look: highly compartmentalised by box hedges and sculpted cypress; a beautiful fountain with a round basin, also surrounded by a thick hedge; and on the façade, two unusual niches with the funeral statues of Don Alonso de Bazán, second Marquis of Santa Cruz, and his wife, María de Figueroa, shown in prayer. The brick floor with details in blue ceramics and some benches covered with multi-coloured tiles remind visitors of the proximity to Andalusia. The walls that enclose the garden are densely covered with tall climbing plants. In the midst of the green foliage is the figurehead of an old ship, an element that brings to mind the maritime environment from which the creator of this place came.
