This is one of the best examples of the town's Isabelline Gothic architecture.
It is part of the Renaissance Monumental Ensembles of Úbeda and Baeza, declared a World Heritage Site in 2003. There are also Mudéjar influences in the decoration. The site has a late 16th-century porticoed courtyard and a large Baroque flight of steps. The façade is extravagantly decorated. Highlights include the semicircular arches, the Renaissance-style vantage point and eight Flemish-style coats of arms. The immensely beautiful entrance is framed with large Gothic pinnacles. It currently houses one of the campuses for the International University of Andalusia.
