Cathedral Museum (Ourense)

The museum can be found in the gothic cloister of Ourense Cathedral and conserves items of exceptional quality.

Highlights among the works displayed in this museum include the San Martín reliquary casket from 1200, the Cruz Preciosa attributed to artist Enrique de Arfe in 1515, the Auriense missal from 1494, the jet cross made in a studio in León in 1497, the processional monstrance from 1604 and the Saint Rudesind Treasure, which contains eight pieces from a Fatimid chess set from the 10th century, made of rock crystal. Sculptures, liturgical vestments and religious jewels are also exhibited.
