Old Town Hall and Museum of Baza
Granada
The Renaissance style building dates from the 16th century. It formed part of a complex, consisting of the Alderman’s house, the jail, and the Town Hall itself. The façade differentiates the ground floor with a loggia of Roman arches and Corinthian columns. Inside, the building features a chapter house with a Renaissance coffered ceiling in the Mudéjar tradition. In 1998 the former Town Hall became the Municipal Museum of Baza. Most of the museum’s holdings are archaeological pieces.
