Cuenca
An impressive showcase of art
Since 1966, Cuenca has housed a spectacular collection of abstract art.
The museum has a permanent exhibition of several dozen paintings and sculptures by Spanish figures of abstract art. Thus, you can see works by Antoni Tàpies, Antonio Saura, Eduardo Chillida and Pablo Serrano, among many others. The museum is located in the Casas Colgadas, a 15th-century building that is one of the most picturesque corners of this city, declared a World Heritage Site.
