The world we live in
The Science Park is a 70,000-square-metre interactive museum that encourages visitor engagement in order to understand phenomena of the environment such as inertia, gravity and the Archimedes' principle. It has established itself as a true international reference centre.
The park includes spaces such as seven permanent exhibition pavilions, another 5,000 square metres for temporary exhibitions, the digital planetarium, the cinemas, the auditorium, the cultural gallery, the library and the Windows to Science. The topics addressed are, for example, health, the environment, architecture, literature, physics, chemistry, mechanics, astronomy and the scientific legacy of Andalusian culture. At the same time, its 27,000 square metres of green spaces create an open-air museum, with exhibition spaces such as the observation tower, the “raptors in flight” workshop, the tropical butterfly house, the astronomical observatory, the astronomy garden, the botanical tours, the plant labyrinth and the mental gymnastics tent.
