Ávila
The religious habits of a special woman
This tour, through the evocations of Saint Teresa, is framed within a magnificent group of Renaissance buildings, renovated in the 18th century.
More than a museum, it is a visit to the memories of Santa Teresa. She took her vows (1537) and lived in this convent for 27 years. Saint John of the Cross also spent some time there as a chaplain and confessor. One of the most outstanding works is a drawing made by the saint himself, depicting Christ on the cross.
