Mining and Industry Museum (MUMI)

The main building is made up of a tower that is connected by an elevator to a full-scale reproduction of a mine, with real equipment that simulates how coal was extracted. After the tour of the mine, part of which is done by underground train, the visitor can also access the permanent exhibition: A walk through the history of European mining from the Age of Steam to the most important moment of industrialisation in Asturias. In addition, the museum exhibits all sorts of typical mining objects and spaces, such as the materials laboratories, the infirmary and the outhouse.
