León

Art from all through history

A journey through history from the Palaeolithic period to the present day.

The museum has two buildings in the city of León: the main building, in the "Pallarés" building, and its monumental annex or historic building, in the convent of San Marcos. On the other hand, it has an archaeological annex few kilometres away - the Roman village of Navatejera, in the municipality of Villaquilambre. The collections in the museums show all the historic periods of human activity in Leon, from the Palaeolithic to our times. Some of the most relevant are the collections on the Romanisation and the Middle Ages, as well as the coin and inscription collections.
