In the city of A Coruna, you can visit the building that housed Pablo Picasso's family for several years at the end of the 19th century. It recreates the atmosphere of the early years of one of the most influential artists of all time. Visitors will find reproductions of 33 works, four by the painter's father and the rest by the young Picasso.
In October 1891, the Ruiz Picasso family travelled from Malaga (the painter's hometown) to Galicia and settled on the second floor of number 14 Calle Payo Gómez in A Coruña, where they lived until April 1895.Currently, you can enter this charming house with wooden galleries, which maintains its old structure and preserves original furniture and objects. It also features reproductions of the works made by Picasso in A Coruña, as well as an original engraving created by him. Visitors will find oil on canvas, oil paintings on wood, pencil and pen drawings, inks, charcoals and watercolours.
