Paintings and sculptures are the main focus of its exhibitions.

The museum is located in a late 19th century palace. The collection comprises more than 2,000 works by over 300 painters and sculptors, from the 18th to the 20th centuries. The highlights include paintings by Zurbarán and Esquivel, sculptures by Cabrera, drawings by Alberti and engravings by Picasso and Dalí.
