Grado Ethnographic Museum

Grado

Asturias

Founded in 1982, this museum focuses on different aspects of Grado. It has three different locations: Two in the centre and very close together, and another on the outskirts that can usually only be visited in small groups by booking in advance. The two central locations are the Fontela Palace, which walks visitors through the history of the town, its market and its tradition of trading, as well as its industry and the nature of bourgeois life. It also includes two collections on photography and accordions. And the second location in the centre of the town is the Miranda-Valdecarzana Palace, where you can admire two enormous cider presses and related objects. The third location, in the La Cardosa area, houses the collections on Popular Culture and the Civil War.
