Museums of History, Archaeology and Ethnography (Melilla)
Melilla
The past of the autonomous city
The museum is located in the renovated old warehouses of Las Peñuelas, in the citadel of Old Melilla.
The museum is divided into two floors. The lower floor is dedicated to the Sephardic and Amazigh (Berber) cultures, with a space also for the Gypsy people. The upper floor traces the history of the city from prehistory to the contemporary age. In each of these sections, history and ethnography are contextualized with all kinds of objects, from ceramics and peasant tools to photographs and models.
