A multidisciplinary facility in a former 16th-century convent.

The museum is divided into different sections, including Fine Arts, History, Photography and Archaeology, in which paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings, weapons, medals, coins, ceramics, musical instruments, photographs, pre-Columbian objects, religious artefacts, etc. are exhibited. This diverse collection depicts how social life has developed in the Basque Country over time. Furthermore, tombstones, baptismal fonts and artwork by painters such as El Greco, Alonso Cano and Rubens, as well as contemporary Basque artists are on show.
