From its inception in 1988, the museum was created pursuing a clear educational vocation.

The Municipal Museum is dedicated to the archaeology and ethnology of the Alto Palancia district of Castellón. The archaeological materials, recovered from various regional sites, are displayed in six rooms following chronological criteria, allowing a global vision of the development of this broad period in the Alto Palancia. These are displayed inside the cases accompanied by their corresponding drawings, photographs and explanatory texts, arranged both inside and outside the cases to help understand the content.On the upper floor, dedicated to Ethnology, tools, objects and materials typical of the traditional crafts of Segorbe and the surrounding region can be viewed.
