Monastery of San Pelayo
Asturias
This is an enclosed monastery run by the Benedictine community of Las Pelayas. The monastery was founded in the 10th century under the patronage of Teresa Ansúez, and was dedicated to San Juan Bautista de las Dueñas. It has undergone significant remodelling since the 16th century. The only part remaining from the mediaeval construction is the cloister. Currently a guesthouse.
