La Quinta

La Quinta is spread over irregular terrain that has made it possible to create very clearly defined areas that artfully blend into each other. While the main buildings reflect the taste for small palaces and villas typical of the era when they were designed, the park and the gardens most definitely follow the fashions and requirements of the historic models characteristic of French, Italian and English or landscape gardens. We are therefore faced with an eclectic, mixed or composite garden. One of the parterres leads to an elegant iron and glass greenhouse with three sections. Camellias, rhododendrons, red sequoias, yews, accompanied by other species make up the large tree entourage that embraces and surrounds the buildings. A little further away, the landscaped area is laid out around a gentle slope in the terrain through which a small, whimsical river runs down from the main lake.
