Kursaal Conference Centre and Auditorium

The Kursaal Conference Centre, designed by the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, is an epicentre of cultural activity for citizens and visitors alike.This striking multi-purpose building consists of an entrance hall, an auditorium, a chamber hall, exhibition areas, restaurant areas and terraces. According to Moneo, its two translucent and inclined glass cubes represent two rocks washed aground at the mouth of the Urumea River, in search of harmony between the natural and the human-made.Its prime location, facing the Cantabrian Sea, allows easy access on foot to some of the city's most emblematic places, such as the historic quarter and La Concha Bay.
