The Jewish Quarter (Córdoba)
Narrow streets with history
The Jewish Quarter is a complex network of narrow streets with a typical Andalusian flavour. Seeing it and losing yourself among its streets is an experience not to be missed.
At the heart of this traditional neighbourhood is the Synagogue, one of three found in Spain. It is a Mudejar construction that dominates the neighbourhood and the life of its inhabitants. The neighbourhood is also home to a statue in honour of the great Jewish thinker Maimónides. It has an irregular layout. It was an intellectual stronghold in the time of Abderramán III.
