Federico García Lorca House-Museum at Huerta de San Vicente

Granada

The poet's summer house

In this house, Federico García Lorca wrote some of his best-known works.

It was the old family residence in the country outside Granada. It has now become a house-museum and maintains its original structure, without modifications. Inside you can see the poet's personal items, photographs, drawings, paintings and manuscripts. In the summers between 1926 and 1936, Lorca wrote some of his most important works here, such as Blood Weddings or Lament for Ignacio Sánchez Mejías.
