The museum has an impressive collection that includes paintings, sculptures, goldsmithing, textile pieces and furniture.
The museum is located in the Episcopal Palace, a 16th-century building. The most important work in the museum's painting collection is located in the chapel: The Temptation of Saint Thomas Aquinas, by Diego Velázquez. It also includes paintings by Sánchez Coello and the school of Juan de Juanes.Among its sculptures, medieval works such as the Enthroned Virgin from the 13th century stand out. The museum also houses an important collection of goldsmith's work, with pieces of Italian origin, such as the chalice of Cardinal Despuig. It also houses textiles, manuscripts and incunabula, such as the Nuremberg Chronicles from 1493.
