The museum's exhibits include a complete collection of the pictorial work of Juan Manuel Díaz-Caneja, a Palencia-born painter associated with the Spanish artistic avant-garde of the first third of the 20th century. His works show the influences of Braque and Matisse, although his artistic evolution led him to the world of abstraction. The permanent collection is made up of about one hundred works of art displayed in a unique scenic arrangement, which aims to be an alternative to the traditional formalist art exhibitions. This approach poses the contrast of the artworks with texts, documents, archival materials and contemporary artistic works. The venue also hosts temporary exhibitions by Díaz-Caneja and other artists.
