Convent of Las Ursulas
Salamanca
It was founded at the end of the 15th century by Doña Sancha Maldonado and expanded in the 16th century by Archbishop Alonso de Fonseca. The church is in the Gothic style with the nave covered with ribbed vaults and a polygonal apse. It houses important examples of religious art, including the marble tomb of Alonso de Fonseca, which was carved in the shape of a burial mound by Diego de Siloé. On the Evangelist side we can find the tomb of the butler of the archbishop, Francisco Rivas.
