Church of San Andrés. Ávila.

Church of San Andrés (Ávila)

Ávila

This Romanesque church is from the same period as those of San Vicente and San Pedro, with its construction dating to the second quarter of the 12th century. It has a simple three-nave plan. Outside, the central apse, which is decorated with a chessboard moulding, stands out. Inside, the decoration is sparse, although the main chapel has historiated capitals. It was declared a National Monument in 1923.
