Valladolid Cathedral
Valladolid
This Renaissance building was designed by Juan de Herrera in the early 16th century. The façade, with columns, is divided into two storeys: the lower is by Juan de Herrera, and the upper is by Churriguera, characterised by abundant decorative elements. The inside of the building is split into three naves with side chapels between the buttresses. The altarpiece (15th century) is the work of Juan de Juni and depicts figures of saints. The south tower and the Cathedral Museum inside the church are both open to visitors.
