The museum is located in the Chapterhouse and in the open chapels of BurgosCathedral, a monument declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Numerous pieces of metalwork are on display (silver images, monstrances, crosses and other liturgical objects), as are paintings, sculptures, documents, codices (from the 10th to 16th centuries) such as the Cardeña Bible, tapestries and a collection of Flemish panels.
