This museum only exhibits contemporary art
Its rooms offer us a tour of contemporary art in its different areas.
The Almería Art Museum is a municipal institution with two buildings: the former home of Doña Pakyta and a modern building connected to a single-family home in neo-Mudejar style. The first venue hosts art exhibitions from Almería between 1870 and 1970, while the second is dedicated to local avant-garde movements that emerged from the 1980s, to photography exhibitions and to temporary exhibitions. The works come from municipal collections but mainly from the Ibañez - Cosentino Art Foundation.
