One of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Castile-La Mancha. Built in the 14th century due to the involvement of Juan Manuel, author of the book El Conde Lucanor, about the Cerro de Águila. A century afterwards, the Marquis of Villena carried out important work that gives it the appearance it has today. The crenelated walls and the impressive Keep right in the centre of the castle.
