About Hispano-Muslim culture

It is in the Palace of Charles V, situated in the monumental complex of the Alhambra, but it can be accessed freely. It houses a brilliant representation of Hispano-Muslim civilisation and Caliphal and Nasrid art.

It is dedicated to Hispano-Muslim culture and art. It contains numerous archaeological finds gathered in the Alhambra or in external excavations related to it. In this centre you can find representative samples of Islamic religion, science and economy, as well as objects from the first years of Muslim presence in the Iberian Peninsula, differentiating the emirate and caliphal periods. The plaster wall coverings, the woodwork ceilings and the household tableware are particularly beautiful.
