Toledo
The National Monument bridge.
It is of Roman origin and was rebuilt in the time of Almanzor. It is one of the entrance gates to the city.
During the Middle Ages it was the gate through which goods and people entered to control access to the city. The west side has a fortified crenellated door with a semicircular arch that has another horseshoe arch inside It also features a statue of San Idelfonso and the coat of arms of the Catholic Monarchs.
