The Mondragó Natural Park is located on the island of Mallorca. The vegetation in the area is notable for its diversity and the fauna is especially interesting for its aquatic birds.

This natural park contains cultivated fields, as well as wild olive and pine forests, juniper groves and dune communities. Its richness in orchids stands out. It is also known for its impressive cliffs, reed beds in wetlands.As for the fauna, it is worth highlighting the presence of aquatic birds, some nesting and others wintering, such as the common coot, the common redshank, the black-necked grebe, the grey heron, the little egret and the mallard. There are also other interesting species in the area such as the rabbit, the Mediterranean tortoise and the garrigue snake.

    One of the highlights is the architecture of the Barraques de Roter, which are small dry stone buildings used for housing animals and also as a place where they can rest.

    The formation of this natural park includes a small lagoon at the mouth of the streams.

  • Information for visits

    The nature reserve's visitor centre can be found on the way to Cala Mondragó, next to the Ses Fonts de n'Alis car park. At the visitor centre, you can arrange guided tours and visit watch an exhibition on the geology of the area or see the traditional Mediterranean buildings.
