This park is the result of a geological process that has occurred over the centuries with a landscape of unique beauty and varied range of volcanic material.
The Nature Reserve of Tigaiga is bordered to the north of the Piedra del Gallo and the Playa de Ruiz, and to the east Redejo Bajo, Palo Blanco, the Azoteita, and the National Park of Teide.It is made up of a varied range of volcanic materials and is of great natural interest for its steep plains and beautiful cliffs that shelter a number of island endemic species.In this way, in the flora you can find scrub, as well as heather and laurel forest remains.There are repopulations of Pinus canariensis and Pinus radiata, and some examples of Canary Island willows.As for its fauna, as is normal in this area there are birds such as the kestrel, tit, chaffinch, white wagtail and the goldcrest.
