If you climb up to the Mirador de San Miguel Alto you can see Granada from its highest point, with views over the modern city, the Albaicín district, the Alhambra and the mountains. “All curious travellers hold Granada in their hearts, without ever visiting it.” William Shakespeare, English writer. If you want to see a sweeping view of the city without the Alhambra dominating it, visit the Mirador de la Lona, with views of the Cathedral and the monastery of San Jerónimo. In the city there are many more viewing points with interesting views, such as the Mirador de Granada (with a wide panorama of the city and the plain), the Puerta del Sol (overlooking the Cathedral) or the Cruz Rauda (with views of the Albaicín district).
