Halfway between the Ubrique and Grazalema Mountains, the town of Ubrique, birthplace of famous bullfighters, has interesting traditional architecture and an ancient leather tradition. Its old town has been declared Property of Cultural Interest.
Its traditional leather crafts are world famous. Some of its gems are displayed in the Ubrique Leather Museum, situated in the old Baroque Convent of the Capuchins (17th century), which is also one of the most attractive buildings in town. Other places of artistic and architectural interest are the churches of Nuestra Señora de la O, Jesús Nazareno and San Antonio, built in the 16th-19th centuries. The nature areas surrounding the town are an ideal complement to your visit.
