Teulada, a municipality with and old wine-growing tradition, is located in the region of Marina Alta, Alicante. Magnificent beaches and coves are some of Moraira's best attractions. Teulada's historic quarter, in the interior of the province of Alicante, is surrounded by a green landscape filled with vineyards, a crop that reflects the agricultural tradition of this municipality, and is part of its identity.
Surrounded by a wall in the old times, Teulada's city centre is dominated by the church of Santa Catalina, a very beautiful example of Flamboyant Gothic architecture, erected to honour the patron saint. Teulada's main attraction is its coast, where we find Moraira. This town is an important Costa Blanca tourist destination, thanks to eight kilometres of beaches and fine coves, such as Platgetes, Portet, and L’Ampolla, the latter dominated by a solid, large defence tower known as the Castle of Moraira. The natural port and picturesque littoral is the ideal setting for several sports, such as scuba diving, sailing, or bike riding. As for wine production, this region's sweet wines are of excellent quality, specially White Marina Alta, and Muscatel.
